Gilgul Overview

Description

Gilgul is a compatible extension of Java.
It introduces a new view on the concept of object-identity.
It allows for dynamic object replacement by simultaneously rerouting a set of references as an atomic operation.
It thus provides means for unanticipated software evolution.

Available Tools

The Gilgul Compiler, which is implemented in 100% pure Java. It can be used on any platform that supports JDK 1.3, and it has been tested on Windows and Linux.
The Gilgul Runtime Environment, which is an extensions of the Kaffe OpenVM . It can be used to execute Gilgul programs on Linux platforms. (It may work on other platforms as well, but has only been tested on Linux.)
